19.08. Lüneburger Heide

Today we have to clean up and pack first. This is turning into a real Sisyphean task. Everything is being moved from one place to another, then Samuel comes along and messes everything up again. At least we manage to have most of it done by the afternoon.

Afterwards, we (already a bit tired) get on our bikes and explore the area a bit. Sammy really wants to ride on his own, which he does great, but it makes the trip a bit longer.

We pass an old dam with ship locks. It looks very nice in the surroundings.

To be honest, we are getting a bit tired of the campsite, so today we go (or ride our bikes again) to the town for dinner and find a Greek restaurant where we treat ourselves to gyros, bifteki, retsina, and ouzo. Felix and Flo then jump into the swimming pond at the campsite, which we have all to ourselves at 9 p.m.

One last, rather unspectacular day of vacation comes to an end, tomorrow we will head back home.
