12/5/2017 Singapore Day 3

Byatangajwe: 05.12.2017

Today I met up with Dion in Punggol. On the way, I had a few toasties with eggs for breakfast. After a short while, Richard joined us and we went to a shop to fish for lobsters. It looks easier than it is. Dion and Richard caught two, I had a few on the line but only managed to pull one out once. After that, we cycled to Serangoon Island. Serangoon Island is a park that is cleaned once a month and left to itself for the rest of the time. From the beach, we could see Malaysia among the many boats that were anchored. Then the two of them accompanied me to the bus stop, where we said goodbye to each other. On my own, I returned to Little India to buy two tubes of henna. Little India can best be described as colorful, lively, and with lots of smells. Then I went back to Bayfront Passage, where I had dinner and visited the Garden by the Bay, which is incredibly beautiful at night.

My conclusion about Singapore: I will come back. There is still so much to see and it is incredibly beautiful here. It is one of the, if not the cleanest city I have ever been to. The average temperature and the humid air are a little draining, but you can cool down in any restaurant. The city is very modern, especially when it comes to public transport, much further ahead than Germany. The traffic is mostly dust-free, at least as far as I can tell. There are many Asian car brands on the road. But when you see German cars, it's mostly BMW M models, Mercedes C and S classes, and Porsche. It is also very safe. For example, you can just leave your bag and phone on the table to reserve it. It was great to have someone who could show me around the city.
