The landscape in the Cameron Highlands is wonderful! As beautiful as it is, one less day would have been enough. Some shops are closed during Ramadan and it rains a lot. My place here is okay and I have everything I need. There are some stray dogs here who like to grumble. But seriously, I haven't encountered any that are really mean. I think they feed on garbage and cats :-D

Today I took a tour. I was picked up directly from the hotel by a jeep. The first Germans I met here were sitting behind me. As you would expect at the other end of the world, the guy came from Braunschweig.

The first stop was at an insect farm where you could see everything that crawls in the Highlands! Beetles as big as bull's testicles, plate-sized spiders, giant butterflies....

Further on to a few viewpoints from which you could enjoy the full flavor of the enormous tea plantations.

Then it was time for the highlight of the tour, the 'Mossy Forest'. You almost feel a bit like Alice in Wonderland there. Especially when the sun peeks through the trees from time to time.

The tour ended with a visit to a tea factory where you could taste the tea directly. I prefer breweries and distilleries....

The prayers disturb me every time and make me feel a strange and mystical world again and again.

My journey continues tomorrow morning.....
