The day started as usual with feeding the calves and breakfast. After that, three out of four huts had to be cleaned.

After about half of the work, Inveldur called me in for lunch. There was fried chicken with rice, potatoes, and a few dips.

The good thing about this farm and my work is that I can basically do whatever I want, as long as the huts are cleaned and the calves are fed. That means I can explore as I please, ride when I want, and theoretically eat whatever I feel like. However, it also means that it's okay, like today, to just sit in the living room with a cup of tea and simply read and relax. Since it was quite cold and cloudy today, it was the perfect weather for it.

For dinner, we had the leftovers from the weekend. This time, no one else was there and I had a really good conversation with Inveldur and Stani. They told me a legend that apparently took place nearby. After I was asked to count the numbers in Icelandic, Inveldur threatened that in three months they would only speak Icelandic with me. I honestly don't know if it was just a joke or meant seriously.

After dinner, it was time to feed the calves again and bring the horses back to their normal pasture. Right after I finished with the horses, a man in his thirties approached me. He asked if he could take photos of the horses. We chatted for a bit. He is from Switzerland and is only staying in Iceland for a few days.

Afterwards, I grabbed my camera and planned to go on Demon, but a couple from Germany were petting the dogs that came out with me, so I ended up talking to them. They are planning to do a round trip in Iceland in thirteen days and they were delighted by how peaceful it is here and how many animals there are. After the two of them went back, it was almost too late, so I only walked up to the base of the mountain, sat on a rock there, and took some photos of the sunset. The sunsets here in Iceland are really amazing, and I have already taken way too many pictures again.

Until then
