Hello everyone!
Yesterday we went on a hike through the Azuaje gorge. The trail through the gorge was very overgrown and since it had rained a bit in the past few days, it was also very muddy and wet. About halfway through, we spotted a cat in the woods which accompanied us for a while. After crossing several streams, we couldn't go any further due to the water level and had to turn back. At the end of the hike, we visited a hotel complex that had already fallen into ruins, which was built in the 18th century. Thanks to the medicinal water flowing from the springs of the gorge, the hotel attracted wealthy tourists from industrial Europe at that time.
In the evening, we joined Theresa's volleyball team for an online game night and Theresa won during the game of Activity.
Today, the Jardín Canario was on the itinerary. It is a 27-hectare botanical garden with various areas such as a cactus garden, pine forest, or dragon tree path. We spent about 2.5 hours until we almost covered the entire garden. For dinner, we cooked chili con carne and then enjoyed a cozy evening.
