Where to travel in Corona Times? Unfortunately, our planned long-distance trip to South America won't happen in 2020. Getting on a plane with a face mask is also not an option. So, we need an alternative, preferably with our own car. It shouldn't be too far either, and that's how we came up with Slovakia. The small country with around 5.4 million inhabitants has unique cultural treasures and the smallest high mountain range in the world. It is a mountainous and hilly country, but also a wine country and beer paradise. The distances between the regions are manageable. We already know the region of the High Tatras. Now we are excited to explore other parts of the country.
Our journey takes us through Austria first to Nitra, then to Banska Bystritza, the Low Tatras, the West Tatras, the Mala Fatra, and finally to the wine region of the Little Carpathians. In total, we will be on the road for 17 days. It starts on July 1st!
