Leaving on a jetplane

After a relaxing night and a sumptuous breakfast, we were chauffeured to Franz-Josef-Strauß Airport by our hosts at half past eight. Thanks again to our hosts!!!

Passing by the Allianz Arena, we reached the airport after 40 minutes. Unfortunately, there was no separate baggage check-in for the Air China flight and we had to queue in the check-in line.

Next queue: security check and into the next queue: customs clearance. For the first time, we used electronic passport control... interesting thing!

Then quickly bought a few things like luggage straps (for the domestic flights in China :-), earplugs (in case we sleep near the engine on the cruise ship), and a neck pillow for the flight. Almost 50 euros spent from the vacation fund...

Now we are at the gate, the last queue. But since we are sitting in the second-to-last row and we already have a fixed seat, we skip the queue for now :-)

On board our Boeing 777-300ER, we were welcomed with a pillow and a blanket as a welcome gift. A nice gesture.

The on-board entertainment, including a set of headphones, offers hundreds of movies from action to romance to kids, flight navigation, and even an e-reader in Chinese.

Now it's time to sit for over 9 hours.

Next stop: Beijing!!!
