Sixth and Seventh stop: Hamilton and Rotorua

Опубликовано: 18.11.2018

Hello 😊

After ten days of work, I finally met Elli again with my family in Muriwai Beach. We met at the bus station in Auckland and went to Hamilton together. After ten days, we had a lot to talk about and of course we were also happy to see each other again 🤗
Unfortunately, the bus ride wasn't great because there was rush hour traffic and instead of a 2-hour ride, it took us almost 4 hours. By the time we arrived, it was already dark.
The next day, we went to have breakfast at Dunkin Donuts and then we walked to the Hamilton Gardens.
'Hamilton Gardens' is a park that showcases many different gardens from different nations and themes:

(Chinese Garden)

(English 'Tudor' Garden)

(Tropical Garden)

Unfortunately, that's all there is to see in Hamilton. The next morning, we headed to Rotorua.
------------------------------------------------
In Rotorua, we only stayed for one night, so my goal was to see as much as possible! Fortunately, there were many things in close proximity to our hostels. After arriving, we went to a nearby park. And it was so interesting to see hot steam coming out of the ground.

In another swamp/pond, the surrounding area was so dead that it would have been a great setting for a spooky movie.

I found Rotorua very beautiful because I had never seen anything like it before and it was hard for me to imagine that steam would suddenly come out of the ground.

Our next destination is Napier! And we will be working there for a month.
See you soon 👋🏼
