In the past few weeks, we at ONG Las Semillas de Santa Teresa have been busy with something very special in addition to our daily work: shooting a video.
Over the course of several shooting days, we filmed a video about the threats our environment faces and about what is already being done here in Lima to counteract them. The video, commissioned by Las Semillas de Santa Teresa, will show scenes of our nature, including very talented kids from the Comas district as actors. In addition to us, other NGOs from Lima will also present their work for the environment.
For a total of two days, I was present at the video shoot with the chairperson and other supporters of Las Semillas de Santa Teresa. We took footage of a workshop where we made pen holders out of recycled materials together with several children, footage of my survey, and footage of interviews where we briefly introduced our NGO.
I also have a small part in it where I say something about my project. Of course, I practiced the text well in advance to be able to speak fluently in Spanish. However, like everyone else, I had to say my lines in front of the camera several times. Smile more, look into the camera, speak louder, be more enthusiastic... there's so much to consider!
However, it was also very interesting to be part of a video shoot and observe the process, and I really enjoyed the two shooting days. I'm very excited for the finished video!
