A stormy crossing

Publicado: 04.02.2017

Our crossing from Wellington to Picton was anything but smooth, for me it wasn't that bad, but Bella got seasick, so we were really glad when we finally arrived after 3 hours. Our next destination was Nelson, as we had booked a kayak tour in Abel Tasman National Park. There we met Bosse (a friend of mine from Germany) and his girlfriend Charlotta. We spent the next 2 days together before heading to Kaiteriteri, where our tour started. On the way there, we stopped in Motueka to meet Tatti and Tomas, our Argentinian friends from work. The kayak tour was incredibly beautiful and in the afternoon we went hiking. The next day, Bosse and Charlotta joined us again before Bella and I drove to Blenheim. It was a bit sad to say goodbye, partly because we would have liked to stay in Abel Tasman longer and partly because it felt really good to talk to someone we have known for so long. But even in Blenheim (as often in New Zealand) we met some people again. Both a friend of mine from Wankendorf and Phil, whom we have already met several times. Our hostel now is really nice, we have a pool, which is really great in the current temperatures, even though we hardly use it because we are mostly working. After 2 days of searching, we found a job in a frozen vegetable factory and now work every day from 2pm to 10pm. It's really exhausting, but money is money.
