The first days in Trento

On 18.09.20 our journey begins. Completely exhausted, we arrive at Trento train station with lots of luggage, are picked up there and taken to our apartment.

Already on the train we notice that our internet no longer works in Italy. When we arrive at the apartment, we ask ourselves how we can let our families know that we have arrived safely. So in the evening we set off to look for a phone booth. Luckily, a few minutes later we find one and try to reach our family somehow. After what feels like an eternity, we finally succeed and can go to bed reassured.

The next day we are busy unpacking and at noon our tutor drops by to explain everything to us. In the afternoon, we all go into town together to buy new SIM cards. To celebrate the day, we have our first Italian ice cream. After that, we go shopping for the first time and visit a small part of Trento.

On Sunday, 20.09.20, we are spontaneously asked by other volunteers from Italy if we want to go to Lake Garda with them. Since it is only 1h 15min away from us, we agree immediately. So we spend the whole day in Riva del Garda and enjoy the sun, the lake and the mountains. An ice cream is also a must in this weather!
