The Wild Pacific Trail, which starts from the neighboring town of Ucluelet , was the last trail we were able to explore on this vacation. Tomorrow we'll take the ferry back to the mainland and the only major cities left on the itinerary are Vancouver and Toronto .
Today's hike on the aforementioned trail led along the rugged Pacific coast over a lighthouse and opened up some very spectacular views of the sea. Even the water fountain of a whale could be seen, even if it only appeared briefly on the surface of the water once, so unfortunately it didn't work out to take a photo of this animal...
But before we set off on our last trail today, we made a short stop at the Radar Hill Trail, which is on the way from our lodge to Ucluelet . This trail is only 0.1 km long and leads to a World War II radar station. From there you have a wonderful panoramic view of the landscape.
