Today it was once again time to leave and say goodbye to the beautiful alpine landscape. But before that, we wanted to go on an excursion. Originally, a boat trip on Lake Zell was planned - but due to the weather, the boats did not run today either - too windy. So we spontaneously decided to visit the Sigmund Thun Gorge. From the glaciers above the Kaprun Valley, we could follow the Kaprun River down into the valley - while we climbed up. Truly impressive, these masses of water. Once we reached the top, we had a beautiful view of the very calm Klammsee. After that, we hiked up to the 'Schneckenreith' alpine pasture to take a break and enjoy the view before heading back down into the valley.
Afterwards, it was time to say goodbye and continue driving to Nuremberg. This journey was also quite challenging as Juliane felt sick this time and we had to change clothes and rearrange the car - me at the back, Jette at the front ... :-( In Nuremberg, we checked in at the Holiday Inn and had delicious Nuremberg grilled sausages for dinner at the oldest bratwurst tavern.
