Our first campsite is just over an hour from Windhoek. This is our first time driving on gravel roads, where we properly reduce tire pressure, and also our first 'river' crossing (okay, it's not a big river but it's enough for our first time 😅). When we arrive at the campsite, we immediately set up the tent and start cooking - both very exciting as we familiarize ourselves with our 'everyday life' for the next 5 weeks. We spend two nights there.
Highlights: Walking safari with the dog Fritz - meaning walking in the area (although I was quite scared of suddenly being attacked by one of the animals. It's said that there are no lions there, but there are a few leopards, baboons, rhinos, wildebeest, and antelopes. That's enough for me 😅🙈 Flo, on the other hand, loved it), getting into the camping vibe, first campfire, the morning sounds of different birds and baboons
