Visit to London & London on my own

Ah, what a beautiful day!

By noon, I drove from Hatfield to London to meet friends of our family from Germany who were stopping in London for a few hours on their vacation trip to South Africa.

Considering the time we had, we mainly stayed around Kings Cross. There, we first enjoyed some delicious pizza and later I had ice cream or a smoothie. Yummy! :)

When we had to say goodbye around 4 pm, I took the Underground, as I often do, to Green Park. From there, I walked through it in the glorious sunshine to Buckingham Palace. Then I went through St. James Park, which I really loved. That view from the bridge to the water and the London Eye! One of my favorite places.

Then, I went to the Post Office to send a birthday card to my brother and then took the Underground to the Tower of London - and of course, to the Tower Bridge. Which brings me to another favorite place :) There, I took another walk until I decided it was time to head back.

To put it in a nutshell: A successful day with delicious pizza, lovely people, and some of the most beautiful corners of London for me. I like! :)
