Job, Zoo & Farewell

We have a job! Not only is it well paid, but we can both work there. The Arcadian Hotel in Richmond is less of a hotel and more of a pub that turns into a club on Saturdays.

Our tasks include serving food, clearing glasses and plates, and slowly learning to serve at the bar. During the week, we get $20, $23 on Saturdays, and even $27 on Sundays. Overall, we are really lucky with this job. We might even have the opportunity to live for free in a small apartment next to the bar. We would only have to share it with the bar manager.

Yesterday, we visited Healesville Sanctuary, a zoo that exclusively houses Australian animals. Finally, koalas and kangaroos again!

Unfortunately, that day was also the last day we spent with the family. After 2 relaxing and really nice weeks, we decided to move on. We booked an apartment in the city center through Airbnb from 6.03. - 10.03. Pictures and more details will follow in the next post.

In the evening, we ordered pizza and said goodbye to Karen and her daughter Hannah. Hannah was very sad about our sudden departure... she really wanted two sisters...
