Day 2: Buldern - Osnabrück, 85 km

Early in the morning we started from Buldern through the beautiful Münsterland, first to the castle of the von Droste-Hülshoff family. In the well-kept castle garden, we took a little breakfast break.

The opposite was then experienced in Münster. Busy activity in this great city. Since I know Münster quite well, the ride through was a bit faster. Many memories came up of numerous appointments I have had professionally in Münster. It was a different perspective riding through the grounds of the university hospital with the loaded bike.

About 7 km north of Münster, we passed through the Rieselfelder bird sanctuary to the Dortmund-Ems Canal, always heading north. The southwest wind helped along the way.

After a brief stop in Lengerich (to refuel), the route took me up the hills of the Teutoburg Forest into the hollow of Osnabrück.

I haven't been here for a long time. But the orientation is still there. I picked up Lucia at the train station around 2 pm.

It's bustling here too, comparable to Münster. People have a great need for closeness. You can tell.
