We want to relax for a few more days and simply do nothing. In this regard, Cancun is suitable. We are staying in a huge room at the Sheraton on the outskirts of a better residential area.

Once again, having all the sanitary conveniences, a well-regulated breakfast, a gym, and service is good for us after months on the road.

It's rather difficult to find a nice beach where you can laze around with the cat, but we discover Isla Blanca. Since you have to drive half an hour including a bumpy road, almost only locals go there. There's not much going on during the week.

There are beach chairs and umbrellas, white sand, and turquoise water. And cold drinks at non-touristic prices. That's good too *laughs*

Otherwise, there's not necessarily much interesting to see here. The city itself doesn't offer any sights, the hotel zone along the coast is a string of hotels for 10 km.

However, there are of course some high-quality restaurants. At the Crab House, we enjoy seafood and white wine at quite European prices. But it's worth it.
