So about 2 weeks ago we heard about the Oktoberfest in the Kempinski Hotel 😮 Of course, we're going there too, but what do you wear? The answer came promptly: dirndl and lederhosen. Good joke, I thought, how am I supposed to get that here? No problem, you can get lederhosen on Taobao (Chinese Amazon) and you can have a dirndl made. Alright then.

With another expat mom, I took a taxi to the so-called Weddingstreet. There you can also buy wedding dresses, mostly with a lot of blingbling and of course very small. And there are tailors there too. Unfortunately, the taxi driver couldn't take us directly there because a road was closed and he didn't know where to go. But it wasn't far anymore, so we could walk to our destination. On the way there, we had to pass through an underpass, where some Chinese people were taking their midday nap. The mobile phone almost led us to the location through the narrow streets with many shops, but then we had to ask for help. Finally, when we arrived at the store, we looked for the right fabric for a long time and found it. Now we are very curious about the result. The store itself was also very bizarre. For example, the stairs have certainly not seen a vacuum cleaner for a very long time. But the main thing is that the red carpet is there 🤣
