Sweden bike tour 5: Halmstad - Varberg

After the two very sunny and warm days of cycling, it should be very cloudy and cooler again in the next few days and a few showers touched us, so that we never really knew what to wear or take off.

Our mood worsened with the weather, because: Anna was lovesick. And she was very bad at hiding it. Hours of conversation were necessary and she did not want to take part in joint group activities. But we are good friends and did our best to cheer her up, which we managed to do in between.

Today's route was quite long, almost 100km and unfortunately not as varied as the previous days. Nevertheless, we made really good progress. At noon we were in a larger city (Falkenberg) and wanted to go out to eat. Just in time for a rain shower to begin, we went to this Indian restaurant and had a really, really good meal. The town itself was very pretty too, especially a church. We kept cycling.

In Varberg it started to rain again and Krissi had a flat tire. But we were lucky in misfortune and just in time for the tire change (we can do it without Max!), the sun came out and we were able to enjoy the beautiful beach a little longer. However, we forgot to go shopping during the tire repairs and arrived at our destination, the village of Troenninggenäs, hungry and without food. There we had a privately rented, very pretty holiday apartment and the nice landlady helped us order pizza to be delivered. Very nice. And delicious! So the evening was saved - if it hadn't been for the lovesickness...
