23.08. Departure

Today we extend the check-out time at the campsite (usually 11:00) until 4 pm. Cleaning and packing up Wohni is on the program. We put the kids in the campsite swimming pool, so Sammy is the only one who makes a mess again after tidying up.

We have to pack half of our living room back into the suitcases, plus all the stuff we bought. We wrap the stinky fish double in plastic bags and seal it - hopefully the can survives.

Somehow we manage to put it all together and set off on the (usually 90-minute) drive. Near Helsingborg, we immediately get stuck in traffic (motorway closed) and we lose about 1 hour. Then we stop at a shopping center (we don't buy anything anyway) and so we manage to be in Trelleborg at 8 pm at our ferry 'Nils Holgersson'. Check-in and parking on the ship works smoothly, the cabin is quickly occupied, and there is still time to explore the ship. We sit in the bar and finally enjoy "Central European" prices again.
