Melbourne

After an 8-hour flight with Jetstar, we finally reached Melbourne.

Jörg (a friend of Annika's dad) picked us up directly from the airport and we were warmly welcomed by him and his family. We got our own room and bathroom, we could take a shower and get some rest.

In general, we can say that we are more than fine here. We were happy to have some 'western' culture around us again, and now we are being spoiled as well. We have our own room and every evening we get freshly cooked food. The 11-year-old daughter is happy to have two new sisters. We have already been to her school twice and helped out in a cooking class for a day.

The whole family is really nice, they include us in their daily life and help us with the job search that we are currently working on. Yesterday, Annika and I went to karate with Jörg... We liked it so much that we seriously considered starting a martial art in Germany.
