Kuala Lumpur

Opublikowany: 01.07.2024

Hey, friends of the sun. ☀️

Alright, I lied... I admit it. I promised you more this time, but unfortunately, I can't tell you much about Kuala Lumpur.

From Ko Phangan, it took us 7 hours to get back to Phuket, where we picked up Julia back then. We stayed there for a night, then took a flight to Kuala Lumpur the next day. I've never taken so long to get out of an airport like this one. Pure stress. We made ourselves comfortable in our Airbnb. It was really nice, as we had a shower cabin (hallelujah) and a small kitchen with a proper ceramic hob. You have no idea how much you can appreciate something like that after living off restaurant food for 6 months or having kitchens equipped only with a gas stove or a campfire.

I would have loved to explore Kuala Lumpur a bit more, as there is, for example, an illusion museum there that I would have liked to see. Unfortunately, Julian wasn't feeling well on the first day, so we preferred to stay in our 1-bedroom apartment. On the second day, it poured down with rain, so my planned city tour was washed out again. Bummer.

Well, at least I can modestly say that the few times we left the house, I received lovely compliments on my appearance. A little confidence boost, hehehe.

Overall, it's worth mentioning that Malaysia is a predominantly Muslim country. As you travel further south in Thailand towards Malaysia, the gold-adorned temples gradually fade away, transforming into mosques that gleam in the most beautiful colors. Yeah... that's pretty much it.

Until next time! 🐑

Next stop: Singapore.
