Tag 1 Ab in den Urlaub - Let's go

Suitcases are packed and off to the airport we go.

At 2 o'clock, the night ended and as usual, we drove to Frankfurt airport in our car. We arrived just before 3:00, parked the car, and went to the check-in counter. Since we have a routine by now, everything went smoothly and we went through security to the gate. Boarding is at 4:20 am and with a little delay, we take off.

It's beautiful to see the sun rise above the clouds and it feels like vacation. We land on Crete at 7:45 am 😍

From here, we take a bus transfer to the hotel. The sea shimmers in the sun and it's already almost 30 degrees at this time. Once we arrive at our hotel "Gouves Waterpark," we check in and store our suitcases in a storage room because the room is not ready yet. Now it's time for lunch. The buffet selection is fantastic, as we're used to.

By 1 pm, our room is ready and we pick up our suitcases to settle in. It's a bit hidden right next to the hotel doctor's office and the terrace door is the only window. The first impression is "well, it will do, let's see how the nights will be."

Completely exhausted 💤, we lie down on the beds and my men fall asleep 😉. Since I can't rest, I take a walk down to the sea. After 10 minutes, I am rewarded with a great view and enjoy the sun and the sea air with the sound of the waves 🌊. After returning, we explore the resort together, have a drink at the bar, and then go to the restaurant for dinner.

We end the evening comfortably with a cocktail.
