During the night we passed Skjervoy, Oksfjord, and Hammerfest with short stops. This morning at half past eight we reach Havoysund, a charming little fishing village with about 950 inhabitants, in a snowstorm. Afterwards, we continue towards Honningsvag. This morning we will dance Norwegian Christmas songs around the Christmas tree, followed by the "gift-giving" where we will receive a board game as our Christmas present (a nice surprise for us). Around 11 o'clock we reach Honningsvag, from where buses take us to the North Cape or you can explore the beautiful Honningsvag, a city that thrives on fishing and tourism and has about 2,250 inhabitants. In the late afternoon, we leave Honningsvag in complete darkness heading towards Kjollefjord, Mehamn, and Berlevag. At Kjollefjord, we are greeted with beautiful Northern Lights at 6 o'clock. On 'Christmas Eve', we have a Norwegian Christmas buffet with roasted pork, lye fish, dried meat, pork steak, turkey, and cream porridge. For dessert, there is a large cake buffet. To conclude, we are once again treated to a beautiful Northern Lights show near Mehamn. This is how our impressive and beautiful Norwegian Christmas evening comes to an end.
