Hurtigruten Richard With 22nd December 2022

Last night we passed through Rorvik, Bronnosund, Sandnessjoen, where there was a short stop to load and unload materials and day-trippers can get on board. In the early morning, we arrive in Nesna, then in the beautifully snowy Ornes with a great morning atmosphere. We continue to Bodo, the second largest city in northern Norway with approximately 43,000 inhabitants. In the early evening, we continue across the Vestfjord to Stamsund in the Lofoten Islands. In the afternoon, we all work together to make decorations for our Christmas tree. It's a Norwegian tradition, and on our ship, everyone makes something special from their country. And already, the first Northern Lights appear in the sky just before Stamsund, where we continue to Svolvaer, the main town of the Lofoten Islands. Lofoten consists of approximately 80 islands, some of which are connected by bridges, with about 24,000 inhabitants.
