The alarm rang at 7 today, it was once again time to pack my bags. Fill up with water and off we go. But it wasn't that easy today...

Yesterday I dropped off 2 postcards. Unfortunately, I dropped them into the box for ATM receipts, don't ask me how that happened??!!?? I had breakfast at 7-11 and went to the nice men at the counter at 8:30 when they opened and asked if they could open the trash box for me. Ta-da, my cards came out and I was able to drop them in the mailbox. Problem identified, problem solved.

Then off we went. The first 2/3 were very flat, leading down from the lake located at 760m above sea level into the city. There I stocked up on my Bao ze supply and rode towards the mountains in a valley. In the valley, there were fresh passion fruits today, which I had for my second breakfast. After about 40km, I started the climb towards Hehuanshan Mountain. The climb was once again very sweaty. However, after the valley, the weather was fantastic. What wasn't so nice was the heavy traffic and the sometimes very narrow roads. The route is not an official cycling route and therefore not suitable for bicycles. The route from Ren'ai to my hotel was again very touristy. With buildings in English style, wooden windmills, and green meadows with sheep that remind me more of an alpine pasture. I would lovingly call it 'Little Europe'. The view from my veranda was a dream until the clouds covered the peaks. Hopefully, the weather will continue like today and I can enjoy the highest highway pass in Taiwan at 3275m above sea level with a good view. I arrived in my room very early today around 4 pm. The next few days are planned more around hotels than performance. This might also give me the time to slowly get rid of the complete cycling rut in my mind. I can feel the end very clearly. Trying to enjoy the last days to the fullest.

Greetings to all
