First day of school 9/19/22

Today was my first day of school. After my host father Robert dropped me off at the bus stop, I took the bus from Carpinteria to Santa Barbara. When we arrived at the school, we had to wait for a short while before it started, so we had some time to get to know each other better. Afterwards, the I-20 forms, visas, and passports were checked. Then we had a small tour. Back at school, there was pizza and bingo for us long-term students. Afterwards, I went to State Street with two other students. We went shopping and, most importantly, to the beach. It was very beautiful, but due to the jetlag, I was glad to be back with the host family around 5 o'clock. For dinner, we had Mexican tacos. Afterwards, we went for a walk with the host parents through the city (Carpinteria).
