We are stopping at the Far Ings nature reserve. The bay is completely empty at low tide and because the tides are so strong here, the water is quite churned up and brown. Snuffy loves splashing in the water, but ends up with muddy socks.
We have a burst hose in our water pump. The trunk is wet and the water has already reached the living area in the front. It wasn't easy to find a suitable new hose, but luckily we manage to find one and fix the damage. We are very relieved that everything is watertight and working again.
In the evening, we take a walk.
The path leads past a farm. There are pigs in the meadow. The farmer is feeding them and we enjoy watching the smacking animals.
The farmer is very happy when we ask him about his animal husbandry and his happy pigs. We chat with him for a while and he is very interested in our journey. He has seen our bus, he says. He wants to know where we have been so far... Oh, he says, and you have come to the most beautiful place of your journey. He loves his homeland and the work on the farm, he also has cows, chickens and ducks.
He wishes us a nice journey and we continue walking. On the way back from our evening walk, we pass by the farm again. The farmer waves at us from a distance and hands us a fully packed bag. For breakfast tomorrow, he says. Bacon, eggs and sausages. We were very happy about it and enjoyed it very much. However, not for breakfast like the English do.
