Remember our 10 days in New York (part 3)

We spent this day reliving the movie Night at the Museum. We visited the Museum of National History. As a family, we decided that the dinosaur skeletons were the most interesting. Additionally, we visited a special exhibition on mummies, which had an additional cost but was worth it. We had brought 3 hours of time, which was sufficient for us.

Later on this day, we went to the Rockefeller Center to see the view of the city and see the Empire State Building in all its glory.
We were able to avoid long waiting times here as well. You buy a ticket for a specific time frame in which you can use the elevator to go up. If I recall correctly, it's always in half-hour intervals.
We had to wait 10 minutes before we were allowed to go up, but there were almost no lines once we were up, probably because we went up relatively late.

The view from above is worth it. On one side, you can admire the Empire State Building, and on the other side, you can see Central Park.

It's my birthday.

Yes, you read that right. Our parents had the talent to plan my brother's and my birthdays so close together, only 5 days apart 😅
On our last day in the city, we decided to take the train in the opposite direction and instead of going towards Manhattan, we kept going out until we reached the beach.

Coney Island. Known for its boardwalk, amusement park, and the world-famous hot dog eating contest on the 4th of July.

We didn't last long there because some of us started feeling sick after a few rides. Instead, we walked a few more meters to the sea and enjoyed the seagulls and the saltwater.

I won't write much on the 29th and 1st because we spent most of those days in the car, as we wanted to go up to Canada at the end.

In one day, in two countries, and back. Early on this day, we set off to the Canadian border to see the world's largest waterfalls. When we crossed the border and the border officer pulled out the stamp to put Canadian stamps in our passports, we all cheered, which made the officer laugh 😂

You can't fully describe the roar of the water and the immense power of the waterfall. It is always breathtaking to see what nature gives us and what it is capable of.

With the time difference, we landed back in Germany on July 2nd, and a great adventure came to an end.

I will remember our time in New York for a long time and can only recommend a trip to this wonderful city that never sleeps.
