27.07.2019: Day off in Listvyanka

Our Russian tour guide Julia had raved about this area, where the sun shines 300 days a year. It's pouring rain all day. Since there's not much going on here, patience is required in such weather.

During our morning visit to the Baikal Museum, we could do a little bit of education. Besides Lake Baikal, there's not really much to see in Listvyanka. The local market was quite nice, mainly offering smoked fish. The fish Omul is unique to this area. We couldn't resist trying it in various forms.
