The first shore excursion that Royal Caribbean offered to its world travelers at no extra charge took place here.

This led us through the flat hinterland into a wine-growing region. At the winemaker we had various wines to try, appetizers, music and dance performances. All very entertaining, but I still didn't become a wine lover.

The return trip to the ship included a tour of Montevideo, where we were able to see the most important buildings, monuments, squares and parks. We even had 20 minutes to get around the city on foot.
