Our long journey ended just as it began: with excellent fish soup and pizza at Il Padrino in Lieboch.
But let's start from the beginning. In Bamberg, we went for a swim yesterday before heading to Passau as our final destination.
We arrived in the evening and, being hungry, we quickly went to the old town to see the confluence of the rivers Inn, Ilz, and Danube - and, of course, to have some Bavarian food and drinks.
Thanks to our good sense of direction, the 1.5 km walk from the parking lot to the old town turned into 3 km.
Cheese spaetzle and beer made us feel better again. This time, the way back was actually only 1.5 km.
We slept right between the main train station and the car dealership. Surprisingly, it was quiet, and the next day we went shopping in Passau before taking on the final 350 km.
We managed to fulfill our motto 'the journey is the destination'. Over the course of 6 weeks or 42 days, we drove a little over 8,500 km, consumed 860 liters of (expensive) diesel, and only stayed at the same place for 2 days on three occasions. You have to enjoy that ;-)
The reward was many beautiful impressions, experiences, hikes, bike rides, sperm whales, aquariums, and the opportunity to go so far north with our motorhome, where nature has preserved its originality in many ways - and, of course, the long time spent together.
