I met Hakim from Africa-Algeria in the afternoon and spent my next two days in Kuala Lumpur with him.๐๐
Pablo told me that there was a hotel there, just like in Singapore, where you can see the whole city from a pool. I really wanted to go there.๐ However, I didn't know if I could get in. ๐
Hakim accompanied me and we took the train towards KLCC. We got off at a nearby station and walked to the hotel.
We simply went through the entrance to the elevators. Unfortunately, we couldn't go all the way up to the 52nd floor because it required a key card. So we went down one floor first. We looked for a staircase that would take us to the top floor. We found it, but the door was locked. Dumb dumb.๐
We went back to the elevators and waited for someone to go up to the top floor so that we could ride up with them. On the second attempt, the elevator opened and people wanted to go up. Yippee.
We got out of the elevator and went right towards the pool. Unfortunately, only people with access cards were allowed to enter. :/
So we went back down and needed a plan. ๐
We then approached a guest and asked what options we had. He told us that there was a bar upstairs where we could enter without a card. So we made our second attempt and went up to the top floor with his access.
This time, we went left and around the corner to the bar. It looked very elegant. We ordered some drinks and were happy that we could still enjoy the amazing view from the bar. ๐๐
After spending an hour there, we left the hotel. He showed me the fountain show with classical music in the middle of the city, it was amazing. I had never seen anything like it before. ๐๐
After that, we went back to the hostel.
The next day, we took a trip to the Big Buddha. We first took a free shuttle bus and then took the train to the Batu Caves. There was a huge Buddha statue that you could reach by climbing over 300 steps๐
๐ and you could also visit the caves. Some monkeys were also running around, so you had to be careful with your belongings.๐
In the evening, I packed my things. My flight to Perth was at 12:05 at night. I said goodbye to Hakim and took the bus to the airport, which took about 1 hour.
