Ystad: the Swedish Lüneburg

We have been in Ystad since yesterday. The small town on the Swedish south coast is quite interesting. It reminds me a little of Lüneburg, even though some buildings could also be found in New York.

The drive from Trelleborg here was exhausting. The distance wasn't that great, but we had high waves that made it all unpleasant.

Slowly but surely, you can tell: We are exhausted. The journey hasn't had much to do with a relaxing vacation so far. Unfortunately, something like this always depends a lot on the weather, and we couldn't foresee that the summer of 2023 would be more like April. The changing weather, the heavy rain, and the cool temperatures are affecting our mood. We can't really just jump into the water somewhere - even though we are surrounded by it everywhere. That's not how we imagined it, and neither did the people we talked to. What a shame!

The harbor in Ystad is quite good, it's full but not as crowded as the last ports. The sanitary facilities could be a little better everywhere in Sweden so far. Let's see how it goes from here.
