Today we took an Uber to the beach in the Barra district after breakfast and had our first coconut there.
In addition to the many small beaches, there was also a fort and a lighthouse.
Today, we both went swimming in the sea, but one after the other, as we were a bit afraid of getting robbed.
Before we drove back, we went to a big supermarket to buy some cold cuts and rolls for dinner. Just like in German supermarkets, they also have bakeries here. Only with one small difference... you have to get the rolls marked by an employee beforehand. Unfortunately, we only noticed this at the checkout and immediately revealed ourselves as tourists.
In the evening, when we took a stroll through the old town, we discovered a stage where street musicians were performing. The singer's voice enchantingly drew us in, and we promptly found a seat in one of the nearby establishments. We were both in awe, people danced to the rhythms as they walked by, and the caipirinhas tasted excellent. The warm evening flew by, and it was only after a few hours that we made our way back to the pousada.
