I got up at a normal time and had breakfast with the remaining baguette and ham. After packing up, I headed to Donostia San Sebastian. It was only 45km but it felt long. It took me 2.5 hours. I had chosen a parking space for today on the edge of the old town, right on a pier by the sea. It took me 20 minutes through the city center and there I was once again faced with a closed road. Oh no🙄 So I went through the city center again and parked somewhere outside. I rode 3 km downhill with the bike to the center and saw a lot. The old town, city center, Ponte del Vento, and finally the Estatua del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus. Great view from up here😁
The descent had many stairs and you could really shoot down. But after almost 20 km I was completely exhausted. So back to the bus. Oh damn... 3 km uphill, I didn't even think about that. I took many breaks because I just couldn't go on. After 35 minutes I arrived at the bus, completely exhausted. The cola didn't really pep me up either. After a good hour, I felt pretty good again.😁 So fasten the bike, lock it, and look for a parking space. But something slowed me down a lot, and after a few km I could press the brake pedal all the way to the floor. Great. I had to be extremely careful in city traffic, I had to brake in advance. I parked quickly and got out. It smelled burnt and my brake on the right side was completely hot.
I found a motorhome parking space at the university, which was even free over the weekend. But now I needed 2 beers to calm down. I was completely exhausted.
I cooked pasta with bolognese sauce around 8 pm and after washing up, I went to bed early.
