Here we go!
We roll out of the yard. Excitement for what's to come; respect for what we're planning; contemplations about what we may have forgotten.
We head straight for the highway. Today, we want to complete the first leg of our journey. Getting to Göttingen or Kassel would be good. When will we encounter the first traffic jam?
ODDO is running and once again we realize - it's almost like sailing... relaxing.
We actually make it just past Göttingen and decide to stay at a small parking lot, about 15 minutes drive from the highway. When we arrive, we are already excited. The place is almost empty and we find a cozy spot on the huge meadow, right on the edge of the forest. In the middle of the place there is an old caravan. That is probably the registration... or so we assume. When we get closer to the "registration" we see this:
That is of course a blast! It's a place without electricity, water and sewage connections, but we don't need that either. We can be self-sufficient!
At some distance, somewhat away from the place, you apparently have the possibility to fill up your fresh water tank and also to dump your wastewater. We suspect it's at some farmer's. We don't care, we still have enough reserves.
In the evening we have a chat with the only other visitors on the site and spend time at the fire pit there.
The first evening of our vacation is already a success!
We might visit the place again on our way back.
Conclusion:
Setting off after work is cool!
We have discovered our first great spot that we will visit again.
Not having a plan is not so bad.
