9.8.2016 Sun, blue sky - a picture book start to the new day ...... and many obviously feel the desire to reach the top end of Europe - car park in motion ...... I have my own schedule and enjoy the incredible weather ...... not valuable photographically, but physically: tailwind!... there is so much to see - but 99 km to Honningsvåg require respect - the weather is constantly changing ...... there is this vastness again, where in the north there will soon be only sea ... a strange feeling to be so close to the goal now ...... settlements are rare ...... and always along the sea ... what a view ... continuously!... shale monuments appear ...... geological history in fast motion ...... powerful towers made of stone puff pastry, without ...... and with Ren ...... detail of the rocks ...... but not lose sight of the goal - continue north ...... up to this striking event - well, not the tunnel - there are far more spectacular ones ...... but the traffic participants should kindly share the entrance with a reindeer herd this afternoon - as it seems to be too hot in the sun ...... they still have time ...... to eventually make room ... and then go back towards the tunnel ...... they certainly weren't shy ...... reindeer-free exit ...... it continues dramatically ...... past mighty witnesses of time ...... now I am directed into a sea arm with headwind ... and am almost brought to a standstill ...... but that also comes to an end and the road takes a kind direction again ...... passing Blue 1 ...... to Blue 2 ...... to Blue 3 ...... but it can be different in my back ....... but up front I reach the magical border ...... but the municipality seems to be significantly larger than is customary in Switzerland ...... there are still many opportunities to test endurance ...... now it's really wide and empty ...... and towards the north, sea, land and sky start to merge ...... ray of light ...... it takes a lot of stability to assert oneself here ...... intake of calories ...... in order to tackle the next mountain range freshly strengthened ...... here it really shakes me emotionally ... the island of the North Cape appears ... and behind the curve is the Nordkaptunnel - I have visited it often on Streetview - but now ...... here I am - for real ... probably tired, marked and also stirred up ... a memorable moment in my life ...... now it's just a quick rush under the sea, which would not do justice to the situation ... on the one hand, it's hellishly loud down there because of the ventilation, and on the other hand, the infernal noise of cars and trucks echoes through the entire tunnel - and then there's also the three-kilometer ascent ...... up to the daylight ...... others may say what they want - I'm glad to be outside again ...... just before Honningsvåg it actually starts to rain ...... there comes the last tunnel with another 4.4 km length just in time ...... then it's Honningsvåg ...... actually in sight ... and before the very last stage there is a day of rest ...
