Day 1

Today our journey begins, our adventure, our dream.

We are now on the plane to Dubai, before continuing to Colombo from there.

The last few hours have been exciting and filled with emotions. Anticipation, excitement, curiosity, tension, happiness, and also farewell. Farewell to Jovieh for only two weeks and yet it feels like a little eternity. But what could be more beautiful than being able to miss someone so much?

The tears have dried now, we have made ourselves comfortable in seats 35 A and 35 B and are watching Eat, Pray, Love. How fitting - a journey to oneself and to the divine that is inside each of us. Just not with pizza and pasta like Julia Roberts 😉

I am incredibly excited about the next two weeks. All the impressions, smells, tastes, experiences. How will it be? I can't wait to tell you about it.

Small addition: the gluten-free food on Emirates is incredibly tasty and the special meals are always served first ☺️
