Sawadee ka
Now November was a bit quieter than before, which is also good😊
The normal everyday life returned, Cannon and I also found the rank together when and how we can see each other.
It's a completely different experience when you live here and not just on vacation. I still learn so much new every day that I'm often tired in the evenings without having done much. The beach is actually right outside the door, but I don't visit it daily. There is so much more exciting things to do than just lying on the beach. There are days when I work out in the morning, then have breakfast with my darling until noon and do something in the afternoon. All at a slow island pace😉 Many long-term residents are now in the resort where I live and I realize more and more what it means to be 'free'. Free without obligations, without stress, without pre-planning, doing and leaving what I want. How lucky I am!
Muay Thai Fights...they are a story of their own...I was in 2 different stadiums which couldn't be more different. Pon - my hero trainer unfortunately lost in a very unfair way, even though he was the better fighter. He got the opponent's knee between his legs, intentionally! The Muay Thai law says: you can make one mistake, but with two you are disqualified. However, since it was intentional, the opponent should have been disqualified immediately...BUT: there was too much money at stake! Thais and money are also a story of their own😶 Fortunately, the head coach of the club where I train decided that no one from this club will fight there anymore. Bravo! Fortunately, Pon is back in shape after being in the hospital.
The second fight night was also exciting: Alexie (Australia) won, Anders (Sweden) unfortunately lost, and Wut (Thai trainer) should have won, but since the opponent flew out of the ring and down to the table and chairs after Wut kicked him, it was a draw😣 and why: because there was too much money at stake😐 It got quite dangerous, the mood turned negative and it was high time to leave the stadium, because it became dangerous, so a crazy beach body painting party felt just right afterwards😃...Now I hope for a 'normal' fair fight on Sunday!
I was on track to reach my 100 hours of training by the end of November, but my body thwarted me twice😣 First, I had an eye infection (see photo😅) and now for 3 days I have had a bad, painful back😭 My nerve and tendon in the lower back have become inflamed, so for 2 days I couldn't do anything except lie in bed. After 3 wonderful massages, I'm already feeling better today, but unfortunately still no Muay Thai for me😏 Now I'm finishing my first 3 months with 95 hours, which is also okay, I will still get my new visa for the next 3 months! Now I'm relaxing at home again tomorrow, then on Monday I'm going on vacation😁 Vacation from vacation😁 I'm going to visit Mark (an Englishman who was here in October) in Pai (north of Chiang Mai) for 6 days, yippee! And then it won't be long until I have my first visitor from Switzerland, ole ole!
I wish you a wonderful Advent season, bundle up warm and enjoy a raclette, fondue or one or two mulled wines for me.
With love, Daniela
