Back to Ranong

We are back on the mainland. We took the scooter taxi with all our belongings to the pier, and from there we took the ferry back to Ranong, where we stayed at the same hostel as on the way there, for a 2.5-hour journey. The reception was again very warm, and this time we even got a room with a private bathroom!! We learn from our mistakes :-)

One of the staff members took us to a market on her way home (on her scooter, of course), where we could try delicious local delicacies. We weren't very adventurous with the chicken pockets and spring rolls, but they still tasted very good, and for dessert, Nora had a sweet bread that she practically inhaled :-)

By the way, Ranong is a border town with Myanmar. Or did I mention that already? When we arrived at the port, it was low tide, so we could have even walked across.
