Hardly getting off the night train and checking into the hostel, we were already picked up and driven to the Terracotta Warriors archaeological site.
The historical facts were very interesting and the warriors were impressive with their details. However, the exhibition itself left something to be desired. Let me just say: luckily I bought the zoom lens, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to examine the warriors properly.
After finishing the excavation site in 40 degrees heat, we made our way back and rewarded ourselves with a cold shower.
In the evening, we visited the Muslim quarter of the city to enjoy the culinary delights and explore the night market.
The next day, I got up early in the morning and headed towards the city wall. Xi'an has a unique and well-preserved city wall where you can ride a bike around the entire old town. It was definitely worth the effort to get up early for that.
