78th day: After a very peaceful night at Cap Skinaro, we take a boat trip to the so-called "Blue Caves" and the "Shipwreck Beach". Along the way, we pass by the picturesque coastline for kilometers. Depending on the underwater ground, the colors in the water change from green to bright blue. No matter what, it always makes you want to jump in. And that's exactly what I do. The most impressive is one of the "Blue Caves", which can only be reached by swimming. It shines so blue from underneath, you could think that spotlights have been installed!
Finally, we also arrive at the closed Shipwreck Beach. From this perspective, it is also a sight to behold. But from above it was much more impressive yesterday, because from below you can't capture the "big picture". Unfortunately, none of the excursion boats keep the prescribed minimum distance from the beach, including ours.
After the boat trip, we have breakfast before we make our way to the lighthouse and then to the windmill. There is now a restaurant with a magnificent view at the old windmill on Cap Skinaro. From more than 200 steps below, you can comfortably dive into the emerald green water. We make full use of that.
In the evening, we are at the nice little campsite Paradise in Psarou on the east coast. Time to barbecue again.
