The weather was great again today! After breakfast, I spent some time in the garden trying to get a tan. It still doesn't look like I've been in Africa for almost a month :'D.

In the afternoon, I went back to the daycare. Since it was very hot today, there was a good chance of finding a chameleon. And indeed, we found a baby chameleon and shortly after that, a big one. I think it's so special to find animals like this in my own garden, animals that I usually only see in pictures or at the zoo! You could even hold the little chameleon in your hand. It changed its color from almost black to white within seconds. Very impressive! The children played a lot by the big tree or swung on the homemade swing. The swing consists of only three ropes. The children put an old board on it and used it as a seat.
In the afternoon, I strolled through the shops at the marketplace. In one shop, I found beautiful beach towels. I asked the woman how much one costs. She gave me a price and I asked her how much it would cost if I buy two... she simply doubled the price. Because I wasn't sure if I could negotiate here (it wasn't a store, just an open shop like at a market), I went to Paul and asked him. He told me to definitely negotiate. So, I went back and wanted to offer the woman 300 Rand instead of 340 Rand, but she refused. So, I went back to get more money. Then, Paul came with me and wanted to negotiate the price himself, but the woman refused again... and finally, Lovemore, the black taxi driver, also came along and tried to negotiate, as he knew the saleswoman very well. But she remained firm, even with Lovemore. He then told me that he would definitely find a place where he can get these towels cheaper for me! So, I walked through half the city with Lovemore, looking for a shop that sells such towels... unfortunately, without success. But we made a great effort for towels that cost 12 Rand.
I think it will come down to me eventually buying them at the normal price in this little shop :D.
