From Rio we fly over Bolivia to Cuzco, an old Peruvian Inca city with a historic old town. Here the Spanish conquerors ravaged, robbed, destroyed and murdered in the 16th century. The cruel activities reached their peak with the brutal murder of the Inca ruler at that time and his family. As a result, the impressive colonial buildings of the old town, spacious squares and magnificent churches were built. The architecturally ingenious foundations of the Inca city were superimposed and withstood several severe earthquakes, while many buildings of the conquerors were destroyed.
