Typical Bariloche

Lofalitsidwa: 03.04.2018

March 9 - 10

So, what is typical Bariloche.
I have already mentioned that Bariloche is the city of chocolate, just like Mendoza is the city of wine.

From this moment on, it was clear that we could not leave Bariloche without eating a piece of chocolate here.
Yanina also confirmed that.

However, she insisted on something else. Namely, that we absolutely had to try beer here in Bariloche.

Beer? Of course. Why not?
No need for persuasion!

We thought about when and finally agreed on the last evening.
Seen as a little farewell.

The Cervezeria (brewery) where we met was not far from Yanina's house and happened to be called 'Cervezeria Berlina'.

How appropriate! 😂

Inside it was beautifully decorated. Lots of wood and modern. I thought it created a very relaxed atmosphere.

The selection of beer varieties... Well, let's just say that anyone who is convinced of the purity law in Germany would have had a heart attack. 😲

Coffee beer... or

How do you come up with something like that?!?!?!
Apparently, he sniffed the beer keg for too long.

Well, but if you have something like that right in front of your nose then... maybe, under circumstances, you can forget the German purity law for a few minutes.

A totally crazy thing. The beer actually tasted like coffee, but also somehow like beer.
We tried other varieties, but the good old Hefeweizen simply tasted the best.

Not necessarily my favorite among German beer varieties, but under the circumstances, it was like heaven on earth. 🤗

We got hungry but our ideas were a bit different...
Yanina thought we would eat something in the brewery, but the prices set off alarm bells for us!

Our counterproposal:
Let's go home and cook something for the four of us.

I think Yanina reluctantly agreed to our suggestion, and so we went home.

And what did we have?

No! Wrong guess! Not rice pan!

But...

Bife con ceboilla!!!

Perfect for dinner! Yanina was thrilled and so were we.

Well fed, it was time to go to bed because the next morning it was time to leave.

Wake up! A new day is dawning.
The things were quickly packed, because thank God we had already started looking for our stuff the day before.

You can't believe where our stuff was scattered all over Yanina's place. 😅
I think, because the house reminded me so much of Germany, saying goodbye was not that easy.
(I write that almost every time 😂)
However, it was nothing compared to saying goodbye to Eduardo 😓

Yanina took us in and hosted us so quickly.
Absolutely crazy!
With such a good first experience with Couchsurfing, we can continue 😉

But not everything on our to-do list for Bariloche was done yet.
One item was still pending. Seen as the grand finale.

Chocolate 👐

Off to a chocolate shop 😅 Well, maybe not necessarily the first one.

More like the third one 😅 (Chocolate can be really expensive here)

With a few pieces of chocolate in hand and a few minutes later in our stomachs, we felt like our bodies were immersed in happiness hormones.

It tasted incredibly good. Finally, a piece of chocolate again.

After 3 months of withdrawal.😲😫

In a good mood and full of happiness hormones, we took a bus ticket to the city of hippies;

El Bolson.
