We haven't been in touch for a while, but don't worry, we're fine. After a few fun days at the water festival, we've started something like a normal routine. Robert is really working outside and I've put together a program of learning English, digital work and training to become a coach, which is really challenging - but also leaves time for yoga classes and coffee with new acquaintances.
We are amazed at how quickly we were able to make friends with expats on site. We were approached almost immediately, invited over and all of our questions were answered. We have even had guests in our small apartment. It is a great feeling.
It's incredibly warm here at the moment and we notice that our life is slowing down and is often not as active as it is at home. The good thing about it is that you can relax, enjoy the time and really notice what's going on around you. Today we discovered new butterflies at breakfast!
We feel really comfortable here, we still love mango shakes and coconut cakes, we like eating on the street and basking in the relaxed friendliness of the people. There is a magic in every beginning, and I hope it stays with us for a long time.
After two weeks, we are really well equipped. Lettuce and orchids are growing on the balcony, there is fresh mango cake from our mini oven and we have bought a few nice things to make the apartment cozy for us.
And the first friends are planning their vacation with us, what more could you want…
