08.03. Barossa Valley- Wine Tasting at its best

Today we faced a great challenge. We were on a guided 'Barossa Boutique Wine Tour'. Around 200 wineries produce red and white wines, with the region being known for Shiraz. German settlers brought winemaking here in the past. So it's not surprising that many of the estates have German names and 'Barossa Mettwurst' is a local specialty. We visited seven wineries (Chateau Tanunda, Langmeil, Peter Lehmann, Rockford, Kellermeister, Turkey Flat, Grant Burge). Each estate was ambitious to let us taste their almost complete range, mostly award-winning wines. With a lot of effort, we managed to try 30-40 samples. Now we are exhausted....
