First day of our trip to the Baltics

After much back and forth, we reluctantly decided against Sweden the day before our departure. We needed an alternative, so we looked into the Baltic states through acquaintances and my girlfriend. We quickly got a travel guide and a map and adjusted our travel route.

So on Sunday, June 28, 2020, we started heading towards Bautzen. After a comfortable 5 and a half hour drive, without any major disruptions, we arrived at the campsite 'Natur und Abendteuer Camping Bautzen' around half past four. We found this campsite through internet research.

After a short orientation on site (we walked in circles twice :)), we strolled along the nearby promenade to the sandy beach and even dipped our feet in the lake. There were plenty of attractions on site, from climbing parks to playgrounds, as well as several snack bars with a rooftop terrace and a beautiful view of the lake.

We ended the evening with a homemade dinner (one pot pasta) and an episode on Netflix.
